Mission Statement

The mission of Mildred Mitchell-Bateman Hospital, as an integral part of the State’s
Behavioral Health System, is to provide inpatient psychiatric
treatment for the adult citizens of southern West Virginia.
This care is provided in a therapeutic environment that
strives to restore all patients with psychiatric
symptoms to an optimal level of wellness,
utilizing ongoing evaluation to continue
improving the quality of care.
